State Transition Properties
The State Transitions page is used to configure the properties of the states for the active feature type. This information is stored in the FeatureStateTransition table. Required fields are displayed in bold type.
These properties refer to the state transitions only and not the states themselves. States are edited using the State Editor, which is accessed from the Edit menu (see State Editor).

Name |
The name of the state. This field is editable only if you are creating a new state transition for the feature type. Clicking the box in the grid displays a button for opening a drop-down list showing all the available states. |
Previous State |
Indicates the previous state in the feature type's life cycle. Clicking the box in the grid displays a button for opening a drop-down list showing all the available states except the one you are currently editing. This field is not editable if the Initial check box is selected. |
Next State |
Indicates the next state in the feature type's life cycle. Clicking the box in the grid displays a button for opening a drop-down list showing all the available states except the one you are currently editing. This field is not editable if the Terminal check box is selected. |
Initial check box |
Indicates that the selected state is the beginning state of the feature type's life cycle. |
Terminal check box |
Indicates that the selected state is the final state of the feature type's life cycle. |
New button |
Creates a new row on the grid for adding a state to the definition of the feature type. |
Delete button |
Removes the state transition from the definition of the feature type. |
